I’m M.A. Reymond, also known as Amie Rey, a storyteller, dreamer, and alchemist of words and images.

I write dystopian tales of resistance and tenderness, magical fanfiction full of longing, and personal reflections woven with tarot wisdom, emotional depth, and fragments of dreamlight. My stories often move between shadow and hope, between inner worlds and outer realities, between the wounds we carry and the futures we still dare to imagine.

Through projects like The Grey Fortress and The Potionmasters, I explore love, trauma, survival, resistance, and the quiet courage of those who never quite belonged, but kept searching for a place where their soul could breathe.

I live in the heart of Switzerland, nestled between lakes, mountains, and forest, together with my husband and our three wild and radiant boys. This landscape shapes my spirit deeply: ancient, soft, and fierce. Like the mountains, I carry stories carved by both shadow and light.
​
My ancient Japanese soul once led me to study Japanology and spend a year living in Kyoto, walking temple paths and letting the stillness of lantern-lit nights settle into my bones. That time still breathes through my stories, in silence, in longing, and in the sacred in-between.
​
As a mental health advocate, I live openly with bipolar disorder & CPTSD and write from the liminal spaces between strength and softness, despair and hope. I believe stories can save us. Again and again.
​
This space is a sanctuary for misfits, dreamers, neurodivergent and queer souls, quiet revolutionaries, and everyone who has ever felt like they belonged somewhere just beyond the visible world.

My Creative Process
​
I believe in blending creativity with technology to bring hidden worlds into visible form: I use Midjourney to give shape to the unseen, creating images inspired by my stories, characters, and dreamscapes. I also use ChatGPT for brainstorming, structure, language support, and creative development.
​
But every story you read here is deeply shaped, edited, and refined by me. After nearly twenty years of studying languages and further education in creative writing, I approach writing as a craft of heart, skill, memory, and imagination.
​
My creative process blends human vision with AI assistance. While I use AI to support the generation of raw text, every essential creative decision is my own: from the story concept, scene setup, character actions, dialogue, and emotional undertone to the final shaping of each chapter into a coherent literary work.
​
The final editing process is entirely my own and often involves many hours of careful revision, refinement, and polishing. As a graduate in Creative Writing, I bring my training and experience to every stage of that process, ensuring that each chapter is thoughtfully crafted and shaped into its finished form.
​
In the end, every word reflects my voice, my world, and the stories only I can tell.
